World Pharmacists Day Celebrated Across Nepal with Various Programs

World Pharmacists Day, observed globally every year on September 25, is being celebrated across Nepal today with various programs and activities.

This year’s theme, “Think Health, Think Pharmacist”, highlights the crucial role of pharmacists in patient care, scientific use of medicines, public health promotion, and research.

On this occasion, the Pharmacy Association of Nepal has organized rallies, blood donation programs, health camps, interactive discussions, technical sessions, specialized training, and advocacy campaigns at both district and provincial levels throughout the country. The objective of these programs is to bring pharmacists together, raise public awareness, and reaffirm professional commitment to society.

In its official message, the Association stated:
“Pharmacists play a vital role in ensuring an efficient, safe, and quality healthcare system. Their contributions through the scientific use of medicines, public health awareness, research, and dedication to service are commendable. May this day inspire us all to remain more responsible, adhere to ethical practices, and continue contributing to public health with updated knowledge and skills.”

It was further noted that pharmacy is not limited to medicine distribution alone, but is a profession dedicated to saving lives and promoting health. On this day, the contribution of pharmacists towards professional development, ethical practice, and excellent service is respectfully acknowledged.

Pharmacists continue to serve as a bridge between science and society, strengthening and securing healthcare systems. Their role in ensuring safe, effective, and responsible use of medicines is recognized as being at the forefront of public health service.
