Message from the President

Pharmacy Association of Nepal (PhAN)
The Pharmacy Association of Nepal is a broad-based, inclusive, and progressive professional organization that provides a secure and enabling platform for pharmacists and assistant pharmacists across the country to openly raise their professional rights, concerns, and voices without hesitation.

One of the core strengths of the Pharmacy Association of Nepal is its commitment to ensuring equal opportunity, equal rights, and equal respect to all pharmacy professionals from Diploma in Pharmacy holders to PhD scholars who are engaged in education, practice, and research. Under our leadership, the Association remains firmly committed to safeguarding the dignity, security, and future of the pharmacy profession without fear, hesitation, or discrimination.

At both national and international levels, the Pharmacy Association of Nepal serves as a common platform to unite pharmacists and assistant pharmacists nationwide, protect their professional rights, and guarantee professional security. At the same time, the Association works continuously to ensure citizens’ right to quality pharmacy services, promote quality production and distribution of medicines, and establish the priority role of pharmacists in pharmaceutical business and practice.
The Association actively organizes pharmacy professionals across the country, promotes leadership development among pharmacists, and provides necessary training and capacity-building programs related to professional rights, responsibilities, and ethical practice. Institutional collaboration with international pharmacy communities, engagement with national policymakers for people-centered policy formulation, and professional cooperation based on coexistence, mutual respect, and functional unity are also among the Association’s key objectives.
Advocating for modern, scientific, and evidence-based education, practice, and policy and leading progressive reforms in response to changing needs and challenges remains the long-term vision of the Pharmacy Association of Nepal. In line with this vision, the Association has expanded its organizational structure at central, provincial, and district levels. At present, nearly 4,000 members have been formally organized under the Pharmacy Association of Nepal, and this number is growing rapidly.
Finally, I sincerely call upon all pharmacy professionals to unite, collaborate, and work together to protect and secure our professional rights, and to practically establish the principle:
“Where there is medicine, there must be a pharmacist.”

Thank you.
Yubaraj Bhusal
President
Pharmacy Association of Nepal
