Capacity Building Training for Pharmacists in Rupandehi

A capacity-building training program was provided to pharmacists in Rupandehi. The Pharmacy Association of Nepal (PhAN), Rupandehi, organized the training with the support of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City for its affiliated members to enhance their professional skills.

In the training sessions, Pharmacist Navin Sharma presented on antibiotics and their use, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Indra Bahadur Rana from the Area Police Office, Butwal, spoke on narcotic drugs, Chief of the Health Division of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, Yuvraj Pandey, discussed the city’s health policy and Ramesh Khanal delivered a session on Good Pharmacy Practices.

Speaking at the program, Mayor of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, Khelraj Pandey, expressed his belief that such training would help pharmacists in their professional growth and make service delivery more efficient. He also emphasized that the municipality had extended support to encourage and empower pharmacists.

Choklal Sapkota, President of the Pharmacy Association of Nepal, Rupandehi, stated that the training was organized not only to enhance pharmacists’ professional capacity but also to foster leadership and personality development. He added that the program provided opportunities to learn professional, policy-related, and practical aspects of pharmacy.

On the occasion, former Central President of the Pharmacy Association of Nepal, Kiran Dhakal; founder and former District President, Ganesh Sedhai; Advisor Laxman Thapa; General Secretary Mahesh Pandey; Treasurer and Program Coordinator, Pitambar Adhikari; among others, also shared their remarks.
